any motherboard that support 7th gen will not work with 9th gen

on the motherboard should support up to i7-7700k, good upgrade compare to the i3-7100

Hi rgd1101! Thnks for your answer! The problem with i7-7700k is that it doesn't support Wimdows 11. So if 9G is not supported by my motherboard i'll have to cancel my order... Thanks again fpr your help!

Cheers!

Hello Friends!

At the end I decide to buy a new laptop with an i7 10 Generation Processor, 16GB Ram and etc... For App development i think it fulfills my requirements, i'm not very happy with the fact that Intel i7-7700k is not supported by Windows 11. I can't use an Intel Core i7-9700K (9th Gen) on my old PC which has an Intel i3 (7th Gen) even though both processors have the same socket (socket 1151LGA) ?

I'm sorry for my bad english, thanks in advance!

Cheers!
