Who wins, PC gaming or Console gaming, I've never got a direct answer for this question and im not asking on my behalf alone although it will always be PC gaming for me, but what does the general public think, which one will lead in the future with eithers present course, which one will be the ultimate LOSER, and which one will be the ultimate WINNER!

whats your opinion?

Well in my opinion there really isn't a definite winner. It is like arguing whether Vanilla or Chocolate ice cream is the better flavor. I think that in terms of FPS Gaming; PC Gaming wins that hands down. It is just so much more accurate with a mouse than with the analog sticks. Especially in games like Quake 3 and Counter-Strike 😀

For other games like 2D games or the GTA Series it might be easier with a controller. Trust me, I have tried playing GTA on PC and it isn't as easy as with a controller.

Sometimes having a mouse and keyboard may prove beneficial in games other than FPS, like RPGs/MMOs. Being limited to the small amount of buttons on a controller may be more difficult in RPG Games like Borderlands or other games of that sort. Then again, Borderlands is an FPS-RPG...

This is just my personal opinion, as stated before its like arguing over which ice cream flavor is better. There will always be someone who favors the latter of the two.

you ahve never gotten an answer because there isnt one. as strong as the arguments we can make are, its opinion. its like asking if blue or red is better. its all opinion, there are plus's and minuses to both. i have had countless arguments for both sides. this thread will get bloody....

Yeah I totally agree with larsson... It is all situational.

It also has to do all with who is playing. For me, PC is far superior. I am into FPS. Obviously keyboard and mouse dominate on PC. Likewise with RTS. I played the C&C 3 demo for xbox 360 and it blows compared to Red Alert for pc..

Also, I feel that PC is more for a mature audience. I think that it allows for better team work and such, idk why, just the feel of it.

However.... I think in the big picture that console will win(generally speaking of course, not for me). This is due to the large number pf younger gamers who are spoiled around christmas time and get the new xbox and playstation. Its much more user friendly IMO. Also, the cost to keep a top-of-the-line PC is high. Thus, those people who play only with friends or on the weekends when they are bored are not willing to shell out the money for a good gaming rig...

But yeah, PC FTW :sol:

Definetly. I wanted to point out the financial aspect as well but it would have gotten too long. You'll have to dish out some big bux if you want your pc to handle all of the newer games coming out. As opposed with a console, buy it once and you don't have to worry about upgrading components and hardware for a good couple of years.

PC FTW!

but when you look at that parts that go into those console they are total sh*t, thats why there is such a big difference in the potential of pc games, the limits are almost non-existant so they can do anything, where as with console, those limits hold them back harshly.

LOL yea.. I'm planning on spending around $120 on a new HD 4850.. I fear my current cpu might bottleneck anything in the 5000 series lol.. but yea Borderlands EVERYTHING in high quality gaming.. HERE I COME!!

Yea dude, PC Gaming all the way for me. I started out playing Unreal Tournament 99' and have been hooked on PC gaming since then. I try out some of the few games that actually aren't crap.. but I mostly play Unreal Tournament 2k4, Quake Live, Counter-Strike, L4D/L4D2, MW1.. only with Counter-Strike have I gone above and beyond casual gaming and have joined lan tournaments and leagues and stuff

EDIT: Oh and playing BF2 was extremely fun for a while too 😀

You'll be very pleased with the 5770. As you can see in my sig, that's what I have. I upgraded from a Geforce 8500gt and the 5770 absolutely blows it outta the water. Plus, it gives off significantly less energy than previous cards and has support for DirectX 11, which Bad Company 2 will have :bounce:

oh LOL well yea I just found out about Bad Company 2 a month ago so that's why I believed someone else didn't know about it either.. yea I haven't really been keeping up with gaming news for a while... haha

Eesh dont get mw2 for pc. they screwed it up so badly, look on the latest few pages of pc gaming, at least 15 posts about problems with mw2, they just ported the console version. Its not a real pc game.

Yep, they dont have dedicated servers. a vital part of any online game... dont shell out the cash for a game like that. on console its pretty nice, but with bc2 right around the corner...
