pc vs ps4

I love computer gaming but recently i bought hp note book with amd 7660 1gb graphic card with the little knowledge of graphics. Although it wasnt best for gaming but still farcry 3 was good enoughh to play . I wished to bf3 and gta 4 to play on it but it couldnt happen . So i thouht upgarde my notebookto lenevo y500 (i7,8gb ram, nvidia gtx650 m sli graphic 2gb with worth arround $1100). All of the sudden i heard the news of e3 and ps4 which is half the price of notebook. Now I am really confused to which side should I go with. I wish to play gta 5 too.

Get a desktop computer. Best of both worlds. You can even hook it up to your HDTV and use a 360 controller if you want.

You asked on a computer hardware website. What answer did you expect?

Rule of thumb is never buy a gaming laptop, as they are very underpowered compared to the equivalent desktop, although can be handy if you are never in one place at a time. You can't really upgrade laptops either.

As of January 2012 I'm a PC gamer, however, I'll always have a special place for Playstation in my heart. Shit, I'll probably buy a PS4 just because I'll be in the military within the next few months, it'll be a lot easier to haul around than a PC. But it really all depends on the games you want to play, the budget you have, and the friends you play it with. If you're willing to buy an $1100 notebook, then you could probably spend $700 on a VERY good PC and buy a PS4 as well. It's really all dependent on personal preference though.

i think pc is much better, only if you're a hardcore gamer, if you buy a pc for £1000, it will have a better browser than ps4 and the games are much cheaper with steam, so if you were to buy a lot of games for pc that you could get on ps3/ps4 you will have better graphics and eventually the pc and the load of games bought with it will actuall costm less than the ps3/ps4 with a lot of games bought with it
