PC will not boot to desk top after power to sata dvd-rw came loose

I recently had to move had to move. During the move my power cable came loose to my sata dvd-rw which I did not know until later. When I went to start up my pc after the move everything worked fine except the dvd-rw. I figured it must have went bad. I ran the pc for 2 days straight, then I thought I would look inside, thats when I noticed the power cable loose.So I plugged it back in. After that I restarted pc and now it will not go to desktop. It asks for the boot up disk. So I put in my winxp disk, then it says no hard drives found. I tried un plugging the dvd-rw drive to see if it would work like before, but I have the same issue. I could really use some help. My motherboard is a GIGABYTE S SERIES GA-P35-DS3L
