Hello,
Recently I have assembled a PC but it won't get past the post stage.
Parts are as follows:
Intel i5 7500 CPU
MSI GTX 980
MSI Z390-a pro Motherboard
2x8 DDR4 RAM
Hyper 212 Evo CPU fan
EVGA 650 Watt power supply
When I fully built the PC it would briefly spin up but then shut off, so I disconnected the CPU power and booted it again; everything lit up and all fans were spinning properly but the CPU light on the EZ debug was on (to be expected) So I removed the GPU and reconnected the CPU power and tried again. The CPU light flashed on as she spun up but then the PC shut off again. So far I have disconnected all the ram, GPU, Drives, and even attached the stock cooler that came with the CPU and still when the PC tries to post the CPU light flashes and the PC shuts off.
Is there something I'm missing here or is there a possibility that the CPU may be defective?
