I just built a pc and it will only show video through the VGA connector on the motherboard. It will not show video through the HDMI on the motherboard or the display port or HDMI on the graphics card. The card lights up and fans spin on start up but isn't detected in the device manager. Display is set to correct pci slot in the bios and when I disable intel integrated graphics the computer wont post at all and I have to reset the bios to get it to show video again.

That doesn't sound good, you might need to take the GPU back to the shop.
Does the GPU have a 4, 6 or 8pin power input which needs to be connected?
When you get into windows, find the GPU driver online, download and install. Shut down the PC, plug the display cable into the GPU, turn the PC on and hopefully it works? If not take it back to the shop, otherwise might be bad luck on a secondhand card possibly
