So I bought all new parts to upgrade my PC but when I plugged everything together, it wont turn on. I did the wire trick on the 24 pin and when I do it sounds like the harddrive or something is trying to boot up but nothing else happens. When I press the power button, nothing happens as well.
Motherboard: MSI Z170-A PRO
CPU: i5-6600K LGA1151
GPU: GTX 750 Ti SC
PSU: EVGA 600B (600 watt PSU)
Hopefully this is the right place to post this. If I missed anything let me know and thank a ton in advance

Solution
did u try with all the sticks one by one, and all the slots???
cud be a dead board then...u shd consider rma...
just to be sure, place a tester on one of the lanes on the board when u power it on...check if it glows...

Yes, the paperclip trick is what I was referencing to when I said the wire trick so that was the reaction. Just a noise that lasts until I take the paper clip out. The RAM is a Kingston HyperX Fury HX424C15FB2/8 DDR4-2400 8GB/1Gx64 CL15 Memory
I didn't use anti static protection while assembling but I touched a grounded metal before I worked on it like my sink, and while putting it together there was no static shock or anything

Ohh I see now, the source of the sound was the PSU fan after all. Yes it continuously spins until disconnected

No, there aren't any led's that I can see on my motherboard at all. I don't think mine has them but I could be wrong

So I took out the hdd and GPU and I only had 1 stick of RAM, I moved it to all the slots available but the result was the same, nothing happens at all
