Hi. Something strange happened to my pc and I can’t figure out the reason. Hoping to get some info on it. Last night my PC was on sleep mode but was flashing bright lights (the RAM lights up) so I forced shut down by holding power button. When I woke up in AM pc booted but just wouldn’t display anything on monitors. So I went on the motherboard and clicked on “clear CMOS”. After this PC would no longer boot. Lights turn on via motherboard, panorama of liquid cooler, but that’s it. I tried removing battery for a hard clear and I already did a BIOS update. Still no boot. Any suggestions on what happened?

specs:
CPU: intel core ultra 9 285k 8p
CPU fan: Tryx panorama 360 mm
HDD: 2 TB aorus gen5 10000 2.0 PCIE SSD
RAM: 48 GB Corsair dominator (max MHZ)
Motherboard: asus rog Maximus Z890 hero ATX
Power supply : 1200 W corsair RM1200x plus gold
GPU: GeForce RTX 5090 32 GB

It’s a high end pc so I honestly didn’t expect to have any issues with it from a hard reset….

Try with one stick of ram on slot A2.

As for clearing the CMOS, disconnect from the wall and display, then remove the CMOS battery, press and hold down the power button for 30secs to drain any residual power then reseat after 30mins.

It's got an Asus motherboard, some people have already dubbed it Asux. For the sake of relevance, can you recall what BIOS version you'd used to reflash the BIOS on the motherboard?

Thanks for your time!
I tried removing 1 stick of RAM and tried to reseat them in different positions, still no boot, the RAM doesn't light up either which I think it did before prior to the CMOS clear
I tried the hard reset but still no boot, sounds like it could be a motherboard issue? That's very disappointing for such an expensive board I just don't understand how a "clear CMOS" button click broke the entire board
Bios update was Version 1501 (most recent I believe).
