I was playing Ready or Not an hour ago, and the game froze. I tried to close it out but nothing worked. After like 20 seconds I get a pixelated blue screen of death. It was there for a little with no progress on the percent that was displayed so I held my power button down on the tower for the reset. I go to boot again, and get the “reboot or select proper boot device” message. I go to bios and check my drives and their order and they are both there. I move them around as they should be. Nothing changes. I reset to default settings, but still nothing! I am booting from a Corsair MP300 SSD, and I never encountered this before. It’s just an endless loop and it’s got me freaked out! If anyone could help that would be amazing. Thank you!

First of all, you can make sure that you re wire everything from your psu again, like remove the cables and reseat. Then you can make sure that your SATA cables are in place. Next thing you do is try to boot and see what happens. If you dont boot then you can backup your data via the Windows Repair thing in safe mode and then re install windows (as there maybe some corrupt file)

Thank you! I checked my cables and connections and those seem to be in order. I’m going to pick up a USB in the morning to try the Windows Repair method. I should be able to boot from that USB once I am in the bios right? Otherwise how would I access it?

Well, yes you can try that by changing the boot to USB and reinstall windows, but i think i am not sure whether your data would be there or not. Make sure that you have a backup of all

Good point about the backup, to be honest I’m not sure if I have that since it’s an M.2 drive. So I think I might be screwed there either way unless I can somehow back it up from the BIOS screen?

Uhh if you can get to the windows safe mode and try to repiar, you will be able to backup from there.

well, there is one more thing you can do, if you have an extra drive i mean ssd or hdd, you can install windows in that and than open windows with your corrupted drive but boot in the hdd so that you can back up from your M.2
