Just built a new pc, everything seems to be working fine, I turn it on and it works for 5 mins before crashing. After it crashes when I turn it on the ram light shines immediately. My first thought was a ram issue, as I’m running 8gb of single channel ddr4. On the motherboard support page, it says memory type is dual channel, so maybe that means I can only run dual channel on this motherboard? Another thought was maybe I need a bios update. My specs: MSI b50a pro, r5 2600x, MSI armor oc rx580 8gb, 8gb ddr4 patriot viper single channel, evga 450 br

Really? Most websites say all I’m using is 390 watts, so a 450 watt gives me 60 watts of headroom. Even if, why would having a low wattage psu make my ram light come on?

I’m now 99% sure my problem isn’t with my psu. I took out my graphics card, replaced it with a rx 460, which has a much lower tdp, and I still had the issue. I’m so confused
