Question PC won’t POST after installing M.2 drive ?

Placed a new m2 drive into my mobo (asrock ab350)

when I tried to boot everything powers on (fans, gpu etc) however nothing displays on my monitor, it won’t even load a bios screen. Power stays on for about 30 seconds before switching off and going into an infinite boot cycle like this.

I tried removing the m2 and booting like normal however the same problem persists, ive tried unplugging and plugging back in the cables to my HDD and SSD as well as booting with just the SSD or just the HDD, no luck.

cpu is a Ryzen 2600x if it’s relevant, the m2 drive is the Samsung 970 evo

I’ve tried removing and reseating just one as well as both sticks of RAM, I’ve removed and replaced my gpu.
I’ve tried booting with no gpu, no ram and no gpu, I’ve tried with only my HDD as well as just my original SSD, I’ve switched their Sata ports on the mobo.

im Completely lost as to what the problem could be

I’ve tried using the cmos jumper and it hasn’t helped.

the m.2 slot is on the back of the motherboard on its own, it’s labelled as ultra m.2 so it’s definitely the right one
