Question Pc won’t turn on but gpu light does

I just upgraded my motherboard ram and gpu my pc runs fine without the 1080 but when I put it in nothing will turn on and only the gpu light turns on.Please help

What model psu and connecting all pcie supplementary power connectors?

Are you moving display cable to the graphics card? It's common for discrete gpu to disable onboard video and motherboard ports so make sure ya plug the cable to the gpu.

The psu is smart 500W ThermalTake and yea the hdmi is connected to the gpu

Where did you get the 1080 from? Try get it tested in another pc and try another gpu in yours.

Thermaltake smart psu is class D, very low quality unit. Should still get a display though during post so try get it tested elsewhere with known good quality psu. But actually running the card in games i wouldn't continue using TT. Get something like Corsair Rm650x or Superflower Leadex iii 650w
