Hi all
I have just bought a evga 1070sc to replace my evga 970. Upon plugging it in, only the case fans will turn on. The cpu fan, graphics card, and rear case fan that is plugged into the mobo will not turn on. Any suggestions?

My Specs:
i5-4690k
Asus Z97a mobo
EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2, 80+ GOLD 750W PSU
Corsair Vengeance 2x8gb
1TB HDD
EVGA GTX 970 --> EVGA GTX 1070SC

Making sure you have the latest BIOS is the only thing I can think of that might make sense.

Everything you need to do it is on the Asus site.

https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/Z97A/HelpDesk_Download/

Choose your OS and download the tools. There will be a BIOS updater in there. Real important not to interrupt it while it updates.

I wish. At least that way I could use my new $400 graphics card

Since the card works in another system, we're looking for possible physical issues (e.g. shorting, broken traces) in your current system. Insulate the card's mounting brackets from the edge of the motherboard, in case a trace there is exposed and shorting.

Successfully updated the bios and still the same issue. Next step over the weekend I guess is to take my and my brother's pc apart and test what makes the card work on his and not mine. I'll keep this thread updated

So I removed the power supply from my computer and plugged it into my brother's to test if it was the motherboard. And everything worked fine. Then I moved my power supply back to my PC and as a last ditch attempt, plugged in the new card again. And it worked!!! Everything runs like a dream now. Thank you all for the help
