PC Won't boot (Not solved)

Hello I was planning on building this pc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WQxr59KRto and now that i've finally got all the parts together and stuff and i built it. It won't turn on? Pressing the power switch has no effect

It may seem silly to ask, but is the power switch on the PSU set to the on position?
Have you properly connected the fiddly little plugs for the switches to the correct places on the motherboard? Check it against what it says in the motherboard manual.

Yeah I've tried three different positions for the power switch cables and the PSU is turned on

Any lights coming on the motherboard? Any fans powering up?

Nope no lights nothing. It doesn't sound like anything is happening at all
Like shouldn't the PSU be making noise? or atleast a slight whirring?

Probably the cooler if you've connected the ATX 12v CPU 24 pin. And installed the ram

I've tried changing the cooler to the stock cooler that came with the processor

Sounds like a faulty PSU that won't trip to on. If you have a multimeter you can test to see if it's producing any power (I suspect it isn't). Perhaps has a blown fuse (some have resettable fuses, others have glass)? Worth checking.

Don't think I do but you could well be right. If I haven't managed to get it working by friday I'm probably going to take it into a shop.

Wasn't what fixed it. (Turned out to be a dodgy cable) but thank you.
