Question PC won't boot with DOCP enabled ?

So I've been trying to enable DOCP in my bios for some time now. But every time i try my pc won't boot. I even checked the RAM values (Timing and Voltage) on the QVL list of my Motherboard and they are correct, i don't know what could be causing this.
Is there some other setting i should check?

My components:
Motherboard: Rog Strix X570-E Gaming
CPU: Ryzen 9 5900x
GPU: Asus RTX 3060 12GB
RAM:Viper Steel 32GB (2x16) DDR4 3600 MHz
PSU: Corsair RM850
NVME: WD SN850

Set DOCP then manually change the speed to 3200.

3200 is the native supported memory speed for that processor although most of the time you can get it to run faster.

So basicallyRAM can't have a higher frequency than CPU?
And i would need to overclock my CPU to boost the RAM
To be honest i didn't know that

That's not what he means. CPUs/platforms have to support specific speeds of clock speeds of RAM, but the exact clock of the CPU isn't what matters.

Oh ok i see.
But shouldn't it still be able to achieve 3600 then? What is it that actually stops that and makes my pc not boot?

They are a bunch of things involved.
1 the memory controller is in the processor, so all of them can be different (just the way it works)
2 are the memory sticks in the correct slots as per the motherboard manual (usually 2&4 going away from the CPU)
3 sometimes updating the motherboard BIOS can improve memory support.
4 they are some voltages changes that can be made in BIOS to get it to run at advertised speed and timings. (I deal more with Intel than AMD so I can't really recommend any for AMD since I would hate to tell you to do anything that could damage your PC in the long run)
5 could even be just a poor set of memory
6 Overall I'm sorry if everything above don't help you get to 3600 but 3200 is much better than you had what I will do is post in the ambassadors help forum to see if anybody else with more knowledge than me with AMD can help you.

Update BIOS version to newest one

So, are you saying that your exact memory kit model IS listed on the QVL list, exactly the same model with no differences, or that the memory kit you have shared timing and voltage values with OTHER kits on the QVL list that are the same clock speed but different models?

First thing should be making sure you have the MOST recent STABLE BIOS release installed. I'd skip or ignore any "Beta" versions unless and until nothing else will work, as a last resort.

Also, what do you mean by "won't boot"? Do you mean it will not POST, meaning it does not pass the initial hardware checks and configuration and you cannot even get into the BIOS if D.O.C.P/XMP is enabled, or do you mean that it will POST, but it will not boot into Windows?

What is the ACTUAL model, exactly, of the Patriot memory kit you are trying to use with this motherboard?
