Pc wont boot

Hello, i updated my cpu the same brand Intel Pentenium 4 just more Ghz's i went from 2.4 to 3.0 i put in the new one now it wont but up the cpu led just lights up

Does your motherboard support that 3.0 cpu ????

You will probably need to update the bios, if its updated it don't work, then the Motherboard just doesn't support the CPU.
