I just got a new computer, I tried turning it on but it only works with my older HDD in it. When i go to my BIOS and change it from there it does not change anything and my PC continues to fail to turn on.

Specs-- CPU: i5 6600k
CPU cooler : Phanteks PH-TC12DX
GPU: Gigabyte Radeon RX 480
Mobo: MSI Krait 3X gaming
HDD: (NEW) 1TB WD HD & (OLD) 500GB Seagate HDD
SSD: Samsung 750 EVO 120GB

Thank you all!

So, what, specifically, is on each drive?
Can you post a screencap of you Disk Management window?

Does this mean i need to move my windows over?

If you wish to use the 120GB SSD as your OS drive, yes.

2 Options - clean install on the SSD or cloning from the 500GB to the SSD

1. Clean install - This always works. And given that the 500GB is 'older', possibly from some other system(?)...this is what I would recommend.

2. Cloning - Space requirements come into play here. To clone to a 120GB SSD< you need to get the total used space to below 90GB or so.

How do i do a clean install? When i start my pc with the boot disk in, it says i need to have the computer on and THEN put the disc in.
But it also doesn't work when i'm on my PC already, maybe because i have windows on it already. Not sure though

And i've tried cloning multiple times, but i can't find a good software. I tried Samsungs own migrating software which resulted in multiple errors during 'defragmentation' i went into properties and fully optimised, ran a scan and no errors came up. I'm stumped dude

What OS is this?
Do you have the actual install DVD (not an upgrade from something else DVD).
For a cloning software, Macrium Reflect is what I use.

How much total used space is on your C partition?

Yeah i do have the disk. I tried using that but it didn't work out. How do you do it?

When you try to boot from it, what does it say?
Also, you do have the license key written down, right?

Yeah i do, i talked to a microsoft dude and he said the code is ready to use again. It tells me to put the disc in once i've logged in

That's very weird. It should boot directly from that DVD.
Which OS is this?

I got a new OS, thank you a lot though
