So I bought a kingspec 250gb m.2 ssd just to install games onto in hopes it would load faster, I had no intention on installing my windows on it because I already have Windows installed on my 3gb hard drive. The weird thing is when I install my ssd it will load into my bios and it won't detect my main hard drive with my windows but it will detect my other hard drive that is 1gb, when I go to boot options it won't show me my 3gb with windows. My mother board is a Rob strix z390-e gaming.

I thought maybe I would install Windows on my ssd so I did but then when I went onto my desktop it wouldn't detect my main monitor or my 3gb hard drive it would only detect my secondary monitor and the 1gb hard drive.

This is an edit sorry, I can't get onto my desktop when I have my ssd in the slot in my mother board because it will only detect the ssd and the 1gb hdd and not my 3gb hdd with windows.

I'm really at a loss for what to do, so I removed the ssd and reset my settings in my bios and it's back to my normal monitor and stuff. I'm writing this on my phone so if its messy sorry, if you can help in anyway or if you need more information please ask. Thanks for reading

I did miss spell sorry all the gb should be tb but when I have my ssd in my pc it will go to my bios by its self and it won't detect my 3tb hdd so I can't even log onto my desktop to check disk management or anything

Well if its not detecting your 3tb hard drive, are you sure it is still functioning? That would be the first thing to check is that both sata power and data cables are plugged in. Afterwards, in your BIOS setting there should be a SATA configuration tool. Once your in there, there will have a bunch of sata slots that are either enabled or disabled. As m.2 takes up 2 sata lanes, it should occupy those 2 lanes. Therefore, in your sata configuration, see which two sata lanes your m.2 is taking, then unplug your data...
I'm not sure why you have such a small hard drive, or maybe it was a typo. Anyways, in you BIOS go to "boot" and set your 3gb hard drive to first priority. Once your in windows, open up disk management.

With disk management, you should see your kingspec ssd there. If it isn't there, then try a BIOS update. After that, Right click it and run the formatting wizard, and format the ssd so it can be used. After that, it should appear in file explorer.

some motherboard disable sata port if you have a m.2 ssd
check the motherboard spec
Sorry for late reply my mother board has a m.2 slot and also m.2_2. Im using the m. 2 because when I try to use it in the other slot it says I'm using wrong slot memory error but I checked online it says if you use the m. 2 it will disable sata slots so I must have my main hdd in the slot that's disabled. Is there a way to enable it do you know?

The only way to enable it is to not use the m.2 in that slot.

A cheap and easy solution would be to get an adapter for your m.2 to use with a regular sata port or as a pcie card.
