Hello I am super confused what is going wrong with my PC

Cpu: Intel G630 2.7ghz dual core LGA 1155
MB: Acer H61H2-AD
Ram:1x 4gb 1x 2
Psu: LEPA N Series N500-SA 500W
+
Gpu: Diamond hd 7870 ghz edition 2gb

So here's my problem, My Win10 (did the free upgrade from 8.1 a couple months back) will run like a charm, that is Without my brand new 7870 installed. I have been using integrated graphics for the longest time and i need more power. When I install the Gpu my PC will boot (beeps to let me know it booted, this is normal trust me) but will not display anything on the analog monitor nor my tv with an hdmi port. I have tried everything resetting cmos, disabling on-board graphics in device manager which seems to do nothing, tried booting in safe mode, also went into peripheral settings in bios and and was unable to set primary display output to the pcie slot because the option was unselectable (and greyed out) and stuck with the selected onboard graphics. I have even unplugged my cd read writer to give me a couple extra watts if that's the problem. Things I haven't tried are updating bios, testing Gpu on a different PC which I will do later and update if I get it to boot will add a comment to this call for help. I made this post cause I've reviewed all other posts of this subject and tried there solution with no luck. Thanks :)

Solution
If you cant go into your bios and set the primary graphics to pcie, you are going to need a new motherboard. Almost all of the major company motherboards have very limited options in the bios. You said it was grey and couldn't change it , this means they locked it.

I'd get a new motherboard if its cheap for your g630, or get a new cpu/mobo combo itself. They probably didn't produce the best quality motherboard and ran a cheap power supply with it. They don't want you to plug in a power hungry card as it may not handle it.

If i were you , i would buy a new cheap mobo for your g630 , a halfway decent power supply , and (maybe) a new case so you would actually have a custom pc that would work together.

Or, build a budget gaming pc...

(( risky alternative ))
You MAY be able to find a custom bios for that mobo that can unlock it . This requires flashing the bios and can damage components. Search your motherboard for different bios versions and see if you can find one that someone has unlocked. Then make sure you read how to flash your bios and proceed with caution.

That would make sence why I would be locked out because my bios is very dull with very few things you can change in it sence the motherboard And the Gpu were from a cheep gateway prebuilt I got a couple years back. I am normally a risk taker but I'm unsure about reflashing the bios and having the possibility of making a bigger mess. It might be worth it to get a cheap 50 buck motherboard and a 23 dollar oem Windows key. And how would I go about doing a clean install of my integrated graphics?

things i would do. Check with another gpu on my system. Use my gpu on another pc.Keep us updated!

p.s: Invest on a good 750w+ psu! They have 7+ years plus warranty which means for 7years and more you will never have to worry about system power!

You should be able to save your windows key and not have to buy a new one , I would agree that you should just buy a new 50 buck motherboard and re-build the pc.

As to your question on your integrated graphics, Those will always be available with your processor , it feeds from the processor through the motherboard.

You can't use the same key if you change your motherboard in 99% of cases. Windows 10 keys are single-use, and tied to your major hardware.

I've never heard of that. When they give you a OEM single use key that key will deactivate whenever you reuse that key , you may have to contact windows customer service, but i'm sure they will sort that out for you as long as the key on your old machine has been deactivated.

His motherboard has him locked out of many things. It is factory locked by GateWay. It doesnt have 95 percent of what me and you have. There are unlocked bios fixes for the *stock boards* but good luck. If his option to change the main grahpics to PCIE is locked i dont think there is anything else he can do.

To do list for tomorrow afternoon
• Test Gpu in different rig
If that fails \/
• reinstall on-board graphics
If that don't work \/
• I'll get a cheap lga1155 overclockable motherboard (to replace my locked one)that will fit my G630 for the time being and a i5 2500k for a future upgrade. And if I can't get help from Microsoft transfering my key I'll just get a $23 dollar key from kinguin. I just sure hope it's not my psu holding me back lol. Thank all of you for the help so far I will pick the solution after these tests :)

I have found no documentation on if there are more open bios versions for my motherboard nor do I want to brick my PC if I mess anything up. So I have chosen the route to get a new mb (biostar h61gmv3). I tested my Gpu in another system and it worked flawlessly. Thanks everyone for your help :)
