PC won't display anything?

I came home, turned on my PC but the monitor only shows a grey screen.

What do I do?

I presume desktop not laptop? does the computer's lights indicate that windows is loading? onboard video or videocard & do you have onboard if using a videocard? try the monitor on another computer to see if monitor or computer issue.

Yes, it´s a desktop. Well, I just forced shut down on the computer by pressing the power button. Then I waited 10 seconds. Then I switched off the PSU on the back of computer. Then I waited 10 seconds. Then I switched it back on. Then I waited 10 seconds and pressed the power button and magically the computer started working normally, displaying the actual screen.
