Question PC won't fully boot after randomly shutting off ?

welp guys im once again lost

today all was fine was playing and having fun. then my pc randomly shuts off and wont fully turn back on. it spins up all the fans and lights come on for about 5 sec then shut off with a loud click. at first i suspected faulty psu because it was my only part that wasnt broken but i swapped it and still nothing. i have a red light on my mobo and thats it

msi z790 tomahawk wifi ddr4
intel i5 13600k
corsair vengance 32 gb (2x16)
corsair rm850x
nvida rtx 4070

Old PSU make and model (or part number) is/was? Also, how old the PSU is/was, and was the PSU bought new or used/refurbished?

i have a red light on my mobo and thats it

Something to try;
* Take out your RTX 4070, completely;
* Hook monitor to MoBo;
* Look if you can get an image.

i tried both psu in an old pc and both work and full boot. will try the rest later.

When swapping out modular PSUs, make sure to replace all modular cables also.
With wrong cables you will most likely kill some (or all) of your hardware.

first psu was non modular 2nd is.

both worked in a 2nd pc.

took out gpu red light still on mobo still wont boot.

returning and replacing the mobo and cpu in a few hrs

Might want to add RAM in there as well, since these 3 are needed for PC operation.

well the red light on my mobo says its either cpu missing or cpu fault so i dont think its the ram
