Hi, I've just recently purchased a ryzen 5 5600 to replace my ryzen 2600 but after swapping out the CPU my system no longer posts I have tried putting my old processor back in but I'm not getting anything, my motherboard is on a bios that supports the 5000 ryzen series so I don't understand why it's not working and why my old cpu which was running perfectly fine before the upgrade now isn't working.
I am hoping to take my pc into a pc shop tomorrow if I can't make any progress but posting to see if there is something that I am missing.
Specs are as follows
Ryzen 5 2600 soon to be a 5600
Arous elite b450 Bios version 64b
RX 6600
16GB Corsair vengence RGB
Any help would be much appreciated.

A simple bios reset does not do the trick.
Turn off power supply.
Press power button a couple times to drain capacitors.
Remove battery.
Short clear CMOS jumper for at least 30 seconds.
wait another 5 minutes.
Remove Clear CMOS jumper.
Replace battery correctly.
Turn on power supply and boot.
First boot will take a while.
Bios needs to load new processor data and retrain memory for new CPU memory controller. So be patient. This can take a few seconds or a few minutes with restarts.
