Ok, so I build a computer a few months ago everything was awesome (my build consisted of a I7-6700k, Hyper X 212 Evo cooler, Asus VIII Hero motherboard, An EVGA 750g2, A samsung SSD and a 1T HDD) Then a month and a bit in, the computer would not turn on, the screen all of a sudden (while sitting on the desk top) completely froze, and after i turned off the computer by holding the power button, it would no longer turn on (although the fans and lights all came on). I replaced the motherboard (with no effect) and then replaced the CPU and it worked! Stupid me thought it was all better... but it wasn't. A few weeks later after that, the computer had been asleep through the night, and when i tried to wake it up in the morning, it wouldn't display an image but again, the fans and lights came on but no post. I RMA'ed the cpu AGAIN, and everything was fine... once again i thought i was out of the woods... but i'm sure you can guess i wasn't. (shortly after i fixed it the second time, i took the PC to best by to ask them why it would keep failing, but they said they don't look at custom builds...). Today, I turned on my computer, played a few rounds of something then went to go grab some food, when i came back, the computer was asleep and would not wake up. I had a small heart attack, unplugged the HDMI cable, turned off the system by holding the power button and unplugged the PSU, plugged everything back in and it worked. I then played one more round of something, went to get a drink, came back and it was asleep and would not come back, i did what i tried before but this time it did not work. There is no post, no display, but the lights come on, the fans spin (but for some reason not the CPU-FAN???) but there is not image. At first it was displaying different Q-codes every time i tried to restart it and now it comes up with 25 every time, and the red CPU-LED comes on the whole time the system is powered. now, i'm assuming that the CPU is dead... again... but the question is WHY!? Il try and ask intel very, very nicely for a new one, but i need to know why this keep happening. Thanks for all the help now.

cruddy have you tried using the usb flashback port to reflash the mb with standby power to see if it a bios issue??
MAXIMUS VIII HERO BIOS 1701
Improve system stability
download and unzip it.
rename it to M8H.CAP,
copy it to root of the usb stick put the stick in the usb flahback port with the power off.
press the button let it run for a few min.
if the mb still dead...you could be looking at bad vrm on the mb that cooking the cpu or a bad power supply.
i would rma all three just to be safe.

The thing is, i don't have another PC to format a drive and the other things you said with. I have a very very old mac but i haven't the foggiest idea how to do that on it. The other issue is, i don't know what i'm going to say to intel to get a new one, keep in mind that this will be my 4TH CPU...

Weird thing, but what is your computer case model?
-When I had a pure metal one, no static protections and no rubber pads, ANYONE could touch the case and make the whole computer die (Everytime this happened to me I had to remove all the internal parts, use eraser in the pins (GPU/RAM) and reset CMOS)-
