I need to know how to get my PC to start again. It starts with fans and lights but no display. I went msconfig and checked start in safe mode now .....

On another PC, download the Windows 10 media creation tool and use it to make a win 10 installer on USB

see if start up repair fixes it:
change boot order so USB is first, hdd second
boot from installer
on screen after languages, choose repair this pc, not install.
choose troubleshoot
choose advanced
choose start up repair - this will scan PC and maybe fix this - will ask for logon info

if it doesn't, see if we can get into safe mode so you can do whatever you were trying to do
boot from installer, on 2nd screen after languages, choose repair this pc, not install
choose troubleshoot
choose advanced
choose start up options << if this isn't here, try system restore and see if you have a recent date to roll settings back to, it might fix startup then
hit the restart button
choose a safe mode (it doesn't matter which) by using number associated with it.
PC will restart and load safe mode

There are easier and safer ways to get into safe mode than changing msconfig

Something is odd if bios flash screen doesn't even show at startup, if it were a windows thing I would expect screen to turn off once it started into windows, not stay off completely. It feels like I am missing something. No picture at all leads to me to think its a hardware problem

that's an old GPU for such a new PC.

what motherboard do you have?

you might have to reset cmos, it might get you into the BIOS but I would need to know motherboard model or PC make/model to figure that out.

Windows generally can't stop you booting up so not sure how your change caused this.

1. Do you have any USB devices plugged in? Sometimes you can't get a POST screen with USB devices plugged in. Unplug everything you can and try it again.
2. Are you 100% sure that it isn't the Monitor? if you have on board graphics maybe try and plug your monitor into that.
3. Removal all RAM except one stick to try and troubleshoot ram issues, this is another common cause.
4. If none of the above work, you may have a faulty piece of hardware, most likely the Motherboard.

I do know for a fact that your issue is not related to software whatsoever. You will at least get a POST screen if you screwed windows.
No one knows the answer to this, you need to troubleshoot this yourself. Pull things out swap things around until it works.

And do you hear a post beep at all? is your speaker plugged into the motherboard?
