Hi everyone. I just got around to cleaning and replacing the thermal paste on my computer, but now after putting everything back together it turns off after a few seconds. Not sure what went wrong, and I'd appreciate any help you could give me. Thanks!

I forgot to add a few things:
I've reseated the RAM sticks and was told to check for bent pins but i'm not sure how to identify them/fix them. This is the first time I changed the thermal paste on this pc and saw how the pins were so I'm not sure if this is how they always looked or if I did something wrong without realizing (ignore that it's dirty lmao i'm working on that)

i cant really see that good inside the socket to see if any pins look bent put in the top right corner it looks like you got some thermal paste in your socket and if the thermal paste is conductive and touches the pins it might short them. you could also try and buy a small motherboard speaker like one of these which will give beep codes so its much easier to identify the problem.
https://www.amazon.com/PC-Internal-Mini-Onboard-Speaker/dp/B002W4M0DW
it will do stuff like longer beeps or maybe 3 short ones etc so you have to search up your motherboard and like beep codes, example asus tuf b450 gaming plus beep codes

also when looking for bent pins just try and see if any looks out of order or just missing or bent in a weird way compared to the others

Yes after posting here I cleaned up a bit to see if there was anything causing problems inside. I also changed the thermal paste and spread it myself to see if that was part of the problem.
I'll go check the pins again and see if I can get one of those speakers on monday. Thank you!! :^)

Did you remove the CPU to repaste it I don't understand?

Normally you just clean the CPU contact plate without removing it from the socket. Repasting does not bend pins.

Can't see really well but I don't know if this is all normal or bent pins. Is that an Opteron System? Just realized it was an AMD system with the pins on the board socket instead of the CPU.

yeah, i removed it because i was afraid of pressing down while cleaning it and breaking something 😅 i'll keep the no removal thing on mind next time i repaste!
i honestly have no idea what an opteron system is, but if it helps i have a gigabyte ga h97 motherboard.
on monday i'll go get a speaker for the motherboard, and see if i can meet up with a friend to test if any component isn't working
