So I had the whole family home last night and I wanted to play a few movies on the big screen using my PC. I turned off My PC from the PSU without shutting down... My Bad.

I bring it into the entertainment room and hook everything up I press the on button nothing happens. So I fiddle with the power supply cords in the case and try again but this time fans run and gpu lights up but only for less than a second. I removed my motherboard and dusted it made sure everything else was clean but same result. My Power Supply is brand new Less than a month old. I brought it off of "PC CASE GEAR AUSTRALIA" and it is called "Aerocool GT-1050SG 1050W 80 PLUS Gold Modular" and it only briefly turns on every 5 min. I have tried using a screwdriver to boot the pc instead of switch, Same result. I have tried the CMOS trick too.

I realised that I caused the problem by switching it off at the PSU.
It is the power supply that is broken because I used my older one and it worked fine. However it doesn't meet the requirements for my GTX 980 HOF.

Is there anyway I can repair my PSU.
Is it still eligible for Warranty?

Any Help would be appreciated.

How many watts is your old PSU, you might be able to get it RMA'd, how many years of warranty did it come with? Also that was a really stupid mistake, unplugging the PSU from the wall without shuttind down or at least shutting down the PSU from the back.

Old PSU is 900w but I prefer the amps on my new psu because it doesn't shut down randomly, both are dual rail. And I actually shut down with the 1/0 switch on the back of the psu I just didn't see that there was a difference so Ill make an edit.
I don't know about the warranty yet Im still searching for my card.

Also can you list all your system specs?
