Question PC wont turn on after upgrading CPU ?

I have an HP Compaq 6200 Pro SFF

I just got a i5 3570k. Which is a lga 1155 socket to replace my Intel pentium g840(I believe). After swapping them out my pc starts for a couple seconds and shuts off again and just repeats that. I already pulled the cmos battery and put it back but no change.
Would appreciate all help because I'm new to this stuff.

I don't think that CPU is supported based on the list in this manual.

I see, thank you. So an i7 2600 should work, but would an i7 2600k work too?

It could, but I wouldn't bother with the K version since you wouldn't be able to overclock it anyway.
