Hello, I got a new case, psu and a cpu cooler. I installed them yesterday and plugged it all in but when I turn on my pc it goes off after a Second. I see my fans rotate and I see the light on the power button on my new case. I unplugged every cable except the 24 pin and the power sw and it still does the same thing.
I have the evga supernova 850 g2,kraken x61 and the Asus h87-plus.

OK replug everything back to the board. The Cooler plug to the CPU fan at the top of the Ram socket above. Then keep switching around the Ram stick to each slot till you get steady power. Also you need to make sure if you have your Graphics card install to Plug it up to the power supply as well.

I am hopping the Front panel connections did not unplug or was incorrectly plugged in.

We know it comes on.But it shuts off afterwords. It sounds like something is not compatible an for safety reasons it shuts down.Still thinking you need to flip that switch on the back of the PSU but.Who knows?

There are causes where the Computer case has the wrong connection pins but according to the forums on this brand. There are no issues listed.

So far i have not found any information leading to disconnects or failures to start. There is this thing about which ram slots need to be installed to start the system but that cant be it if you have tried every slot.

OH!Hey forgot something The connection you may have plugged into the Top Power connection Could be your Graphics card plug.Which could be a solid 8 prong connection. Recheck that! Switch it with another plug that looks like it but can separate into 2 pieces of 4 connections!

Hmmm.OK here what i would suggest.Send a Tech support.I do not think your CPU is dead. But i do have a theory. It could be possible that the connection to the cha_fan2 did not start up the Cooler fans. But if they did then it did not overheat or burn out you would smell something.Like burning thermal paste.

It was working at first so i doubt it is dead again. But if anyone could help THEY could fill you in on what the board set up could be.An what could be causing a problem.

By the way i am saying that because chances are your cables from your new PSU are not connected to your board correctly.Your lights came on.On your board. So yeah that had to be right. But it could be the wrong connection an it just did not support it an shut down.

At this point you are limited on what could cause a system failure. You did not take out the CPU.So im ignoring damage to the CPU.Your fan did spin on your PSU so that is working fine.It all comes down to Your new case not being plugged up correctly. But your power button worked so we can check that off the list.

So the only thing i can possibly think of is Your cables are not plugged in the right ports or.OR!Your memory stick must be put in the correct port.So only two things.Cables an Memory slot. are mismatched.

Then there is that back of the PSU again. That limits the power of gives you full power an that is a little red switch. Not the big one. There are two switches on the PSU.But then i am not there an i am not giving my personal phone number here on the forums so yeah talk to Tech support. So we do not invade privacy issues. It should only take 20 minutes.Err.Monday.Sorry man.

My cooler fans do work. Everytime I press the button to turn on the pc I see my fans rotate (connected to the radiator of the krakenx61) the 2 other fans that are connected to the fan controller on the back of my pc don't rotate

things you did
-you made sure all the cables are in the right place
-made sure the cpu cooler is mounted correctly
-you cleaned your rams, even tested them 1 at at time
-you tried the old psu,and you got the same result
-you tried to power the sys with screwdriver

and none of that worked?

ask your friend to help you test some parts in his rig.

Well I cant ask him to test some parts from his rig. He lives far away. Had him to help me on the phone. I will try again with the cables putting new cables. I did take off my cpu to clean it. But I made 100% sure to be careful with it.

If you have a multi meter check the PSU. Ground pin 15 and 16 with a paper clip. Green and ground. Plug in PSU. PSU should power on with fan. Then take the black probe and ground it to one of the black wires. And then the red probe and check each colored cable. Check to make sure voltages are correct. Their are links on the net to help you do this. A multi meter is about 20 bucks.
