PC won't turn on

Recently when I try to turn on my computer nothing happens. Not even a brief flicker or fan operation. Yes, I tried different outlets, cords, and checked if the switches were on. I thought it might be the psu so I installed another one I had that I know works but nothing changed. If the fans don't turn on at all shouldn't it be the psu? For about 2 months prior my PC would occasionally shut off and reboot unexpectedly. I don't know if that is connected at all to the problem. Any help is appreciated.

Solution
Thanks for the help but I found the problem. Somehow a capacitor managed to break so I soldered it back on and the computer works like new. Definitely not what I expected. I should probably upgrade my motherboard and cpu.
The PSU would be my first guess about your problem. However, since you're confident that you tried another PSU that works and still the same issue, I would point toward the motherboard, how old is your system, and is it a custom build? And also, what are your specs?

Specs:
AMD FX-8320
Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 Motherboard
XFX R7 370 (HD 7850)
EVGA 700 Bronze
2×8gb DDR3 offbrand RAM
2TB TOSHIBA Hard Drive

It was originally a prebuilt that was gifted to me but I started getting into custom PC's so I upgraded some of the components. It is nearly 3 years old now. If it's the motherboard shouldn't the fans at least flicker on for a moment?

If you are not getting any sort of power at all, I would check to make sure the front panel connectors for the power button are seeded correctly, and if that's not the issue, something may have shorted, perhaps a power surge? Hard to tell. Only way to be sure what the issue is good old fashioned troubleshooting, which mean test every part in different systems to see what is working, and what may not be working.

I'm a computer technician in my day job, and if it isn't the power supply, and not the panel connectors, or even a faulty power button, then I would point toward that motherboard.

Good to know you found out the issue, If you are going to upgrade, I would suggest Ryzen 3 or 5 for your CPU, but you would also have to upgrade the MOOBO and RAM, your current board would be using DDR3, and Ryzen boards are using DDR4. Good Luck!
