Hey all,

I've had a gaming PC for about 4-5 years, played on almost every day. Last week when I went to turn it on the PC on light lit up for just a second and then turned back off, I tried turning it on again and the light didnt light up at all. I have played around with the inside, made sure all the PSU cables are connected and still the PC doesn't turn on.

I went out and bought a new PSU, installed it and the PC still didn't turn on, even when I only connected up the motherboard.

Have my components been fried? Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks
Tchopa

System components include:

CPU - i5 4690k
Graph card - GTX 970
RAM - 16GB Ram
PSU - 600W Corsair Bronze Semi-Modular
Case - Fractal Design R4
SSD and HDD - 128GB and 2TB
CPU Cooler - Corsair H60

Running Windows 10

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS.

This: " I tried turning it on again and the light didnt light up at all."

What light?

Are there any status LED's or beep codes via the motherboard?

And you must look beyond just the PSU cables. Ensure that all cards, cables, jumpers, RAM are fully and firmly seated.

Also has the case ever been cleaned? If full of dust, debris, hairs, dead insects, etc. then there may be heat issues due to reduced or blocked air flows.

"Light didn't light up at all" - My PC cases light

There are no lights or status LED's lighting up on the motherboard at all.

I removed the GPU, RAM and SSD/HDD from connection to the motherboard and only powered the motherboard and it still didn't sow any signs of working.
