So I seem to be having an issue when I OC my CPU. Whenever it goes into sleep mode->Hibernate and I try to take it back up, the PC turns on but there is no feed to my screen. Any ideas on how I can fix this?

AMD FX-6300
Asus M5A97 2.0

Corsair H75

Not strictly true, mine uses hybrid sleep, hibernate for desktops. All fans stop when hibernating. Check the advanced settings in your power mode control panel, it might have something set to turn off the outputs after x-duration.

When his computer was on (not hibernating, as he said he turned hibernating off) his fans were on. Hibernate = the computer is off except for a saved state in RAM, so it's still technically powered off.

If your computer stops cooling itself after a set period of time, it's susceptible to overheating, and I doubt that such an option is available.

I may be misunderstanding, I thought he said he used hibernate to reduce fan run time. As fans stay on in sleep (which is the non hibernate powersave).

Or have i entirely missed the point?

Besides, His OC shouldnt affect his ability to use hibernate unless he got one of the cstates wrong, and that would display differently. If he wants to use hibernate he wants to fix the issue, whatever it is, not turn it off and ignore it.
