Hi everyone,

I know that my question could be answered elsewhere on the site, but since I read a lot of suggestion, still my problem persist.

First to start with my PC:
AMD Phenom X6 1090T
Huntkey HK700-52PP 700W
Asus M4A78LT-M
Nvidia GTX 780
Windows 10 Home 64 bit, Build 16299.248, Version 1709

Recent hardware change I bought an USB 3.0 adapter liket this:

Since then my PC won't wake up after sleep. Before installing it there were absolutely no issues. I have followed a lot of step to make the problem resolved, but still no luck:
1. Reinstall chipset driver
2. checked the keyboard and mouse to wake the pc
3. checked USB root hub to not be turned of by computer
4. turned off hybrid sleep
5. turned off hibernation with cmd
6. changed the power plan setting to not turn off hard disc, USB and pci express
7.reinstalled keyboard and mouse drivers
8. ran sfc scan
9.loaded BIOS default settings

Still no luck. I have ran out of steps to follow to resolve this issue.

Please help!

The keyboard and the mouse are connected directly to the motherboard on USB 2.0 ports.
About the uspend mode - tried already that, it doesn't help.

Which Windows version is installed?.. Windows 7 doesn't natively support USB 3.0, and a PCIe adapter may need USB 3.0 drivers in any Windows version.

The Power Plan setting to "not turn off the hard disc, USB and pci express" may be influencing the issue specially if you have Windows 7 and haven't installed USB 3.0 drivers for the PCIe USB adapter.

Everything has to stop for the Sleep mode to work propperly, so disabling the USB selective suspend setting may not be the right thing to do... so try enabling it but better if you use another Power Plan which should have the default settings, to see if there's any difference.

Check what the "USB selective suspend" means.

I've stated that the OS is Windows 10 Home and both keyboard and mouse are connected to USB 2.0. The USB 3.0 adapter is using proper USB 3.0 driver, so I think the issue doesn't come from there.

About the USB selective suspend - OK. I've enabled it and restored the plan defaults - still no luck.

I think that the issue may came from chipset driver, because power button is directly connected to the motherboard and PC still doesn't wake up pressing it. I'll try reinstalling it to if it will help.

You have already reinstalled the chipset driver.. a second resintall may not be necessary but it it shouldn't cause harm if you repeat it.
Try resetting the BIOS. Sometimes loading default settings is not enough. After that, verify the BIOS power states levels with the linked summary. Make sure you understand what each power state means and which need to be enabled or disabled. .
