PC works on (2X)2gb ddr3ram but blue screen on 1stick 4gb ddr3 ram

I just bought a new stick of 4gb ddr3 ram, I'm trying to replace my old 2pcs stick 2gb ddr3 ram with only a single stick of 4gb, the problem is whenever I installed the 4gb stick, a bluescreen occurs after the windows loading, i tried replacing it with other 4gb stick but it still the same, but the PC works whenever I use the 2X 2gb ram stick..

Probably a compatibility issue. Why would you want to use single channel RAM, anyway?

My plan is I'm gonna upgrade to (2X)4gb ram instead of using (4X)2gb ram, but I think the my board is not compatible to a single stick of 4gb ram.
