Over the past few weeks my computer would randomly black screen. The problem would sometimes also occurs in bios. When the computer black screens, any audio playing would hang for a few seconds and then resume like normal. When the computer black screens the only way to get out of it is to force shutdown/restart.

I tried using DDU to uninstall the GPU driver in safe mode and installing older drivers, I tried reseating the GPU

I also tried another PSU from another computer. At first it seems fixed it so I bought a new PSU to replace my old one. After a while the problem came back.

The problem occurs when the computer is under load and isn't under load.

Xeon E3-1270
MSi Z77A-G45
Gigabyte GTX950
Msi MAG A650BN psu (the new psu)
8GB DDR3

MSi Z77A-G45
BIOS version for your motherboard?

8GB DDR3
Please elaborate.

Xeon E3-1270
How are you cooling the processor?

Gigabyte GTX950
Have you tried dropping the GPU onto another platform and seen if the issue persists? If so, then the issue is your GPU.

I also tried another PSU from another computer. At first it seems fixed it so I bought a new PSU to replace my old one. After a while the problem came back.
And what was the make, model and age of the prior PSU?

Motherboard with the lastest bios (version 2.B)

Kingston 2x4GB DDR3 ram. I tried reseating the ram hoping it would fix the problem. I also tried one stick of ram in.

The processor is cooled with a Cooler Master i70C. The temps is on the higher side abit (60C idle probably because I used the cheapest no brand thermal paste)

Haven't tried it. I'll give it a go.

The old PSU is a Cooler Master Elite 550W V2. That PSU is about 13 years old at this point. I checked a PSU tier list I found (SPL's PSU Tier List) and found out that the old PSU is rated pretty poorly so I did some research and found the MSi mag a650bn got a decent rating and is within my price range.
