Hey guys, so this morning I went to turn on my computer and it didn't start. I flipped the power supply switch off and then on and tried again and it booted fine. Anyone know why this happened? Should I worry about it since it works now? Thanks in advance.

well depends if you did get to the windows logo and it stayed frozen for a while(and never reaching windows) then its no problem its something that happens sometimes, anyways if it doesn't give you that problem frequently you are fine to feel safer if you want you could try a clean install to be sure

Nothing like that. Motherboard light was lit and pushing the power button wasn't doing anything, so i flipped the switch on the power supply and then flipped it on again. After that I was able to turn the computer on.

strange could be a problem with the psu or any system part that was bad placed did you moved anything while flipping the psu switch? i have that happening when the ram wasn't compatible (probably cuz of their timings), also did you check that your mobo wasnt giving you an error message (light tuning on in red or titling or something similar) also power failures (in the region or in your electric cables system) could do this to ya do you have a UPS if you dont get one to be safe man

No error messages, no power failures. The only thing that could have happened is that the PSU cable that feeds into the power strip was loose but even then it doesn't make sense because it wouldn't have lit the motherboard light up. Maybe the power button didn't touch properly when i pressed it? I'm out of ideas.

must be something related to psu or the power button didnt touch properly anyways if you know someone who can stress test your PSU or just a voltage test or something do if the problem happens again that is if your button is touching it properly now
