pc3-10600R vs pc3-10600U

What's the difference between pc3-10600Registered and pc3-10600Unregistered? what does it mean? are they compatible with each other?

Registered is Server memory, can only be used in server boards, and will not work with unregistered memory. If you're putting memory in a PC you want unregistered memory.

I've got 4gb of server memory in my PC at the Moment (Asus P7p55 lx mobo) and It works fine, would another one work aswell?
