I bought 2 Rams from snapdeal which are 4gb each.

Today my friend gave me DDR3 ram which is 2gb,I installed it but it is showing in easytune as below

The above ram is 1333MHz?

Below is the memory which I installed in slot 1 and slot 3.

The kingston ram is of 1600MHz or 1333MHz?

So can I mix 2x4gb sticks with a 2 gb stick?

Hi,

These all will depend on the memory controller on the motherboard. If you know your model name and number or the motherboard, we can help in finding it. Normally, they are compatible, but some motherboards get into overkill and downclock.

Note that if you mix speeds, the whole memory will run at the lowest speed available.

Yes, it supports all PC3-8500, PC3-10600 and PC3-12800 memory types. But as I said, if you mix different speeds, in your case. All the memory will run at 1333 MHz instead of 1600 MHz. Yes you can mix sizes on your motherboard, but the best performance comes from installing pairs.

You may not see the difference in the lower speed for now, but there is a difference certainly when you run extensive programs.

For compatible upgrades you can refer this link:

The 3770 CPU can support 1600, so if the sticks will play together at default, can try manually setting freq to 1600 and raise both DRAM voltage and MC (memory controller) voltage about + 0.06 and may get all sticks to 1600. Will want the the 4GB sticks in slots 1-3 and the 2 GB in slot 2 and should result in 8 GB total running in dual channel with the odd 2 in single channel
