Pc800 ecc and non-ecc issues

Hello,
My dimension 8200 has 384mgb of non-ecc rdram installed as standard, i have just baught 2gigs of ecc rdram and installed it and the computer booted up with no problems,my question is will running the computer with ecc rdram harm it in any way.thank you best regards Tony.

No. It won't use the ECC bit.
