[SOLVED] PCE-AC88 ASUS wifi network adapter

Connectivity issues;

Moved to Germany last year; before this I had no issues with my old WiFi card. After moving; no WiFi connectivity; assumed it must have been damaged in transit.
So, I bought this AC88. Looks great, butdoes not get full connectivity. And this is the weird bit: i can connect to Netflix fine, but other sites, Speedtest, Steam, Spotify etc do not see an active Internet connection.
I've used ipconfig /Flushdns, which does not seem to have helped.

Any other ideas? Anything geo-specific I need to look at?

Update; needed to force Windows to look at a specific DNS, when set to automatic; it was looking for my old ISPs.

For posterity; 1.1.1.1 (CouldFlare Secure DNS), or 8.8.8.8 (Google) are good options...
Problem solved.
