Pci compatibility help

I have a network card which fits in a PCI connection. While my friend tested my nw card on 3 other pcs and worked fine, in mine it doesnt so i thought it must be my mobo. If i connect it in a PCI-E x1 will it fit and work?

No, they're two completely different interfaces.

a PCI card can't even fit a PCI-E x1 slot 😵... But anyway... PCI-E is not backwards compatible with PCI. You need to check if your MoBo has PCI slots available... but I am guessing it doesn't.
