What the heck is this?
I updated two other computers to windows 10 without a problem but my son's Acer Laptop (device manager) is telling me I need this driver.
I've installed and reinstalled both the chipset driver from Acer and I even installed Intel's driver utility thing and nothing worked.

-Acer V3-572g-543s
-Clean install of windows 10
-Windows update says everything is updated

What is this, is it a network driver, video driver, turbo boost driver, serial IO driver?

Solution
Thanks Ironsounds for trying to help. I really appreciate the effort.

The problem was the windows 10 chipset driver from Acer. I installed the old windows 8.1 chipset driver and it fixed it. No more annoying yellow explanation mark in device manager.
I've already installed the Nvidia driver and memory card and audio driver.
USB 3.0 is a problem, Acer hasn't updated it to windows 10 yet and I tried installing the other version even in compatibility mode did not work, it says my pc did not meet the minimum requirements

PCI bus 0, device 31, function 6

It's funny, because my old Dell inspiron 1564 that (according to dell) will never be Windows 10 supported has no problems with drivers.

Also, I already contacted Acer and they won't help because it's out of warranty. They just tell me to go to their forums if I need help.

Hello... It's always been a problem finding drivers for the BIG names in Computers... they put some flyby night company chips in the MB's... That is why we build our own, with Companies and Chips that will continue to provide Driver support.

1) Try to identify the maker/number of the USB3 chip on the Motherboard for searching.
2) Try and use a WIN10 Driver from a similar/different model ACER computer on their Driver download page.
3) Reload previous Windows version and USB3 driver and look at the information provided there to identify the chip Maker/Number for more Driver searching.
4) Post another page here... "Need Win10 USB3 driver Acer V3-572g-543s"
