[SOLVED] PCI Device + Encryption/Decryption Controller missing drivers

Hey all,

Turned on my pc this morning and tldr; device manager says PCI Devices are missing drivers and whenever i attempt to update it says there are no applicable drivers. I've tried googling for results, down to looking at hardware IDs in device manager, and there's nothing I can really find that I can comprehend or actually use. Any help?

Specs:
Running Windows 10 with latest BIOS updates
NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti
MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX ATX AM4 Motherboard
AMD Ryzen 5 2600 3.4 GHz 6-Core Processor

Hardware IDs:
PCI Device 1: PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_1485&SUBSYS_7C021462&REV_00
PCI Device 2: PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_148A&SUBSYS_7C021462&REV_00
PCI Encryption/Decryption Controller: PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_1486&SUBSYS_7C021462&REV_00

Edit: Forgot my OS!

Solution
If you still have this issue, I just resolved it on a new build:
  • Download chipset driver from https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B450-TOMAHAWK-MAX#down-driver (or whichever is exact model you have)
  • Run the install but ONLY select express install - do not take the "more recent" options if they are there.
  • Should then be fixed - rerun the utility again if you want the up-to-date version of the other software it's packaged with.
