Hi all.
My dad bought a new computer and its motherboard is Asus H81-A.
I understand this motherboard only supports PCI-E version 1.0.
Will it affect graphic performance if I bought and installed a good (~300$) PCI-E 3.0 graphic card in it? If it will, how much?
Thanks in advance.

It is a newer h81 mobo.

BUT it only seems to run at 1.0 x16 speeds.

This is it right?

Basically for gaming a 1.0 x16 slot is roughly equal to a 2.0 x8 slot.

A 1.x x16 slot doesn't seem to bother a 7970 all that much.

You are going to loose fps yes, for a single card though...
