PCI-E Express Extender Riser Reliability ?

Planning to install a pcie riser adapter on my old pc as it doesn't have pcie x16 slot, my doubt is will it be a reliable option,as i heard they slows down gpu performance;and hows its durability ? Gpu i'll put is gtx 710 or 730
Riser : Rrimin USB 3.0 PCI-E Express 1x To 16x Extender Riser .
Motherboard : Ga-J1800m-d2p-in.

hey

im using 1 of those for my mining rig

i didnt see any performance lose while mining but the gpus are recognized as if it was working on x2 pcie which i think might affect gaming performance

motherboards pcie normal gives you x16

i dont know how it affects nvidia cards i only have amds
