Question PCI-Express USB Hub for more USB slots

So I've used up my USB slots on my motherboard on my PC. I tried to use a single USB - 4 USB hub, but it was slow and ineffective, I heard that it is due to it being connected to a single controller, so the ports are split into this controller. This is what I intended on buying next, would it give me the same speeds and performance I'd get with the ports on my IO?

Those cheap cards aren't going to perform the best, a higher quality unit with a controller built in would be ideal.

I see, since my motherboard (MSI B350 Tomahawk) has an extra USB 3.0 header (one is in-use by case IO), if I bought this would it work the same?

I have had 3 of the Orico 7-port cards in a machine of mine for more than a year, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with them. They are just as fast, reliable, and preform in compliance with the USB 3.0 specifications, as any card that costs more.

They are a very good purchase choice.

And, yes. The rear-panel USB 3.0 connector pair that you linked-to will also work, if you only need 2 additional USB 3.0 connectors; but, in terms of slot real estate, grabbing the Orico 7 port card makes much more sense.
