HI all, just wondering if anyone knows if PCI(not PCI X) slots/cards are the same from Mac to Windows PC. I have an PCI audio card running in a Mac and want to use it in a Windows PC, If any other info required, I'll do my best to supply, I know about different voltages, 3.3 and 5, lets just say for now that isn't a problem. Thank you for any help you can give.

You've got your answer right there. "...windows requirements...". It's compatible, PCI is the same slot whether the PC has Windows OS or Mac OS.

BTW (not to be a smart-a$$) but I think you mean PCIE not PCI X (you're meaning PCI Express right?)

Yes, that's what I thought, but I just wanted to be sure,

No, I mean PCI X, it's like a 64 bit version of PCI (roughly), completely different to PCI Express, here's a pic . . .

Thanks for your help, all the best.

Cool! I've never heard of PCI X before. Is that a Hackintosh type of thing?

Maybe that's where they are mostly seen, although the say they are around the Windows world mainly in Workstations and servers, so they say, here's a graphic of the cards

PCI X is supposedly backwards compatible with PCI, except you drop back to 32 bit,and drop PCI frequency back to standard PCI rate :)

That would definitely explain why I've never heard of those before. I've had old workstations, but nothing that could handle 64bit anything (heheh). Servers were off limits in any office I've ever worked in (even when I worked in the I.T. department!)

Thanks again for teaching me this. After all, they say "knowledge is power", muahahaha (just kidding, or am I 😉 )
