Hi, I need an affordable way to connect more internal disks than my mobo supports.
I tried with no luck with usb-sata adapters, my experience is poor, they disconnect every few minutes.
I see there's also pci-sata adapters, are they better suited for the job? Do you suggest any particular vendor or model on amazon?
Also, I'll have to connect the power supply. I see the drives are connected by a single cable that has multiple terminations, is there a limit to this chaining?

I have an msi infinite-x, the mobo is a Z370M GAMING PRO AC.
I can't see the label on the psu (it's totally enclosed), but from the site it should be 550W 80Plus bronze certified.
Budget around 50 euros, from Italy; I've seen this
https://www.amazon.it/SYBA-Scheda-controller-PCI-profilo/dp/B00AZ9T3OU/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_147_bs_t_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=42GJV54ASKY2E33ZS1F6
and it looks fine.
However also the usb-sata adapters looked fine from the reviews and then they were terrible, so I wanted some first-hand impressions.

Also, can you please confirm that it's fine to use this cable?

This is the cable that connects a 3.5 hdd to a 2.5 ssd; I wanted to disconnect the highlighted part, and use this
https://www.amazon.it/2-pack-splitter-prolunga-femmina-maschio/dp/B07F3239CB/ref=pd_sbs_147_11?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B07F3239CB&pd_rd_r=324989d9-0f93-11e9-b458-5b4765bb64ca&pd_rd_w=rbUqi&pd_rd_wg=lN8Zb&pf_rd_p=466c5af4-0171-4b17-9b3f-b4036a90f75d&pf_rd_r=B58MJFE9NP01KGSJSYAE&psc=1&refRID=B58MJFE9NP01KGSJSYAE
to connect the additional drives. Then I'd use of the terminations of the new cable to re-connect to the ssd.
Could it work or I'm missing something?

Is it prebuilt? The cables don't look like modern design... Any psus I have seen comes with a single cable connecting psu and multiple sata drives, nothing like this.

Yes it's an msi infinite. I don't like it really, it's like they made it so it's impossible to open and work on it.
Even the psu is completely encased, but I can see two distinct sata power cables each with it's own "chain".
