PCI sound card not working after installing PCI wireless card

My sound card doesn't work if I put in a PCI wireless card. I tried changing my Bios settings to let the OS configure PCI and still doesn't work. If I remove the PCI wireless card, my sound card operates like normal.

A bad pci slot? Wither either card work in both slots?

I have multiple PCI slots. The sound card stays at the same spot but when I put in my wireless pci card to occupy another PCI slot, my sound card stops working.

Funny enough, I had the same problem in the past... what are makes and models of your sound card, wireless card and the mainboard?

Rocketfish... alright, don't know that brand, gotta LIU real quick

So, sound card is healthy, as far as I understand? First try out ONLY WLAN card in the same slot where sound card is sitting now. If it works fine alone, try whatever card is less valuable/is on warranty out in different PCI slots (IME, bad PCI slot can mess up a card).

Are both cards recognized in Device Manager? Drivers installed?
