PCIe 16x extender not working

Hello,

I have a PCIe extender exactly like this: http://www.amazon.com/PCI-E-Express-Extender-Flexible-Extension/dp/B008BZBFTG

However my GPU does not work with it. It seems like it's a little too tall on the right side (about 1mm). Shall I ask for replacement or try to make it shorter with sand paper?

Go for a replacement, less to deal with on your end, especially if that's not even the issue
