Hello, I recently managed to get a 9070 XT Red Devil for close to MSRP in my country, I currently have a Be Quiet, Pure power 12M 1000W.

Checking on the card however, I saw that it requires 3x8 PCIe cables, while my current PSU only came with 2 cables that then Y split into 2 more connectors, totally 4, 8 pin connectors (6+2).

Can I use one cable with both connectors and one with just the remaining one, or should I get another alltogether? If so, where would I plug it? My PSU only has 2 slots labeled PCIe and one PCIe 5.0.

Thanks in advance

yes :) one cable split in two 8pin to gpu and one with one 8pin to gpu
use the 12V1 on the PSU for the cable which you are plugging in to two 8pin PCIe connectors, and the third 8pin to the 12V2.

12V1 has a bit more power than the 12V2 on this multi rail PSU
edit:
and 12V2 is being used for all other 12V needing parts like CPU, motherboard,...

The two PCIe ports on the PSU, one left and one right to the PCIe 5.1 slot.

there are two PCIe ports on the PSU, one left and on right to the PCIe 5.1 slot.
Thanks for the quick answer!
I am pretty sure I read somewhere that it would have been better to plug each slot with a single cable? Or is that no longer an issue?

As the purchase of the PSU is quite recent, I can always send it back and get another one, I just need to be sure if I need to.

depends always on the PSU
multi rail PSUs should be using one cable per slot to ensure the complete wattage gets to the GPU and not only half of it or less. Your PSU has two rails with 46A and 42A. If you would only use e.g. one slot, about 504Watt would be not available for the GPU and it could struggle.

If your PSU had three rails, you would split to three single PCIe cables, to get all power to the GPU

Yes you can use 2 cables using 3 of the connectors, no problem at all.

I see, thanks. I assumed it would be fine, since I doubt a psu from a reputable brand would come with not usable cables. They split at the end, or rather the cables go into the 1st connector and then come out for another one.
